Traditional Irish Arts of Knoxville
-
It is the mission of our organization, The Traditional Irish Arts of Knoxville, to present, promote, and preserve our Irish/Celtic music culture in East Tennessee. We provide our regional community with public performances and educational opportunities, in the form of workshops, house concerts, sessions and concert series. Utilizing the talent and skill of both local and visiting artists to further the education of our community, as well as allow for participation in, and appreciation of the Celtic arts.

Since our inception in 2004, The Traditional Irish Arts of Knoxville has served people living in both the urban and rural areas of East Tennessee who are lacking access to the arts. We have in the past sponsored children from Knoxville and the surrounding areas, including Knox, Anderson, Greene, and Hawkins counties, to attend classes and concerts free of charge.

Irish/Celtic music is a communal experience and one that is accessible by all, regardless of age, gender, economic level or national, ethnic, or cultural origins. It requires that we gather in common spaces and engage in musical conversation, passing on to the next generation our love of Irish/Celtic music and social culture. It is our greatest wish to grow and sustain this rich musical heritage here in East Tennessee. So join us in sharing the love of music.
